Planning a wedding is no easy task and can be overwhelming even for experienced planners, which is why some couples outsource the planning to professional wedding planners. However, there are couples who choose to go it alone as they want full control over their wedding plans or budget constraints.

But weddings these days have become the realization of a dream or a movie sequence, and just creating such a special moment is stressful for most couples. This is where wedding planners come to save the couple’s special day. Azar Jazestani, who  is one of Canada’s most renowned wedding planners has planned thousands of weddings, and  if you’re one of those newly engaged couples who find wedding planning overwhelming, the expert says these tips will help you plan your wedding better and easier:

  • Guests Come First: Check the approximate number of guests you will invite before settling on a venue. This will ensure that there is enough room for your crew. As a general rule, allow  25 to 30 square feet per guest. That might sound like a lot, but it’s not really when you count the space you need for tables, busy servers, the band, and a dance floor.
  • Check Your Credit: Take advantage of the high cost of weddings and sign up for a rewards credit card. Whether it’s earning airline miles or great shopping deals, if you consolidate all your wedding-related purchases onto this card, you can earn thousands of rewards points (which can be used toward your honeymoon).
  • Find a Wedding planner who gets your style: When researching for a wedding planner, let the work you see and their style guide you. That doesn’t mean you have to settle for a standard version of something you’ve done before. But choose a provider whose style fits your vision. it means you can work together on something truly extraordinary.
  • Learn About Marriage Licenses: You can check your state’s licensing requirements online, but confirm by calling your county clerk’s office to see when they are open. Even though it’s open from 9 am to 5 pm, they can only issue marriage certificates at slower rates, for example, Thursdays from 2 pm to 5 pm. by 3 pm Give your mother or maid of honour a copy of your marriage certificate (in case you lose yours in the last few days before your wedding).
