The SEAL program gives talented, motivated and gifted students a chance to achieve excellence in their education. With the select entry accelerated learning program VIC, students have accelerated through high school because they are taught and absorb the required material faster, without the need for repetition. It’s also a supportive environment that encourages learning and collaboration with like-minded peers to develop students academically, emotionally and socially.
The SEAL program is carried out yearly for students of Year 7 to Year 10. If you feel your child is not challenged sufficiently in school, s you can get your child to pursue the SEAL exam.
What Does The SEAL Program Involve?
Students who wish to take the SEAL test must take the entrance exam the year before they want to sit for the SEAL program. Students will be tested on essay and narrative writing, mathematics skills and advanced numerical and verbal Reasoning in the test.
After enrolling in the SEAL program, students will complete years 7-10 of their high school education in 3 years. It exposes them to more options as to how they wish to complete their final VCE years— some students will finish it in two years while others may use the extra year to complete a broader range of VCE and university extension subjects. The extra year will ultimately give students a greater chance of achieving their desired high ATAR score.
The SEAL entrance test includes
Writing: Persuasive or Narrative (30 min)
Reading: multiple-choice test (30 min)
Quantitative Reasoning: multiple-choice test (30 min)
Verbal Reasoning: multiple-choice test (30 min)
