- Marin Headlands, California: Kirby Cove Campground
It is located north of golden gate bridge at historic battery Kirby. If you pay a visit, you are awarded a breathtaking view of San Francisco and the rugged pacific coast of Northern California.
Facilities
It offers five overnight camping sites and one day-use picnic site, and all are reached via driving on a steep access road. It also has a day-use area as an accessible picnic site for persons with a disability or limited physical mobility. Sites 2 and 5 are also available as accessible campsites for persons with a disability or limited physical mobility.
Natural Features
It offers a pristine coarse-sand beach with spectacular views when it’s not foggy of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and northern San Francisco. The cove is nestled at the foot of craggy Marin Headlands, with beach access.

Camping at Assateague will be a pleasant experience if you plan for one in the future.
